As CBRE’s preferred contractor, DMG Workplace recently undertook a gender-neutral shower design & build project for Google office space in London. The project was commissioned to create a more accessible office environment and represents the evolution of offices worldwide.
The facilities were created to be functional for all users, regardless of sex or gender identity. This includes making sure that each space is equipped with appropriate vanity and shower units, as well as appropriate lighting and materials. In addition, considerations were also made for safety equipment such as non-slip flooring, and adequate ventilation to prevent mold or moisture build-up.
This project serves as an example of just how far our society has come in terms of acceptance and understanding when it comes to gender diversity and inclusion in the workplace. By creating a safe space for everyone – Google is setting an example for other businesses across United Kingdom (and around the world) to follow suit when it comes accommodating employees in their respective workplaces.
The CBRE x Google workplace transformation undertaken by DMG Workplace serves as a shining example of how companies can create inclusive spaces.
“Google actively works to ensure that everyone feels comfortable, accepted and included. This project marks a milestone in our society in terms of progress within this realm as well as opening up doors for companies across United Kingdom (and beyond) to embrace this kind of commitment to understanding their different workforce population.”
Gus Frelihs, Marketing Manager at DMG Workplace
